Seniors Expo a big success
ALMOST 600 people enjoyed the fanfare of the Tweed Seniors Expo last week.
It was a wet day at Murwillumbah for the expo, but that didn't deter the crowds who came to be entertained and informed.
Tweed Shire Senior Citizens Week Committee chair Pauline Dow said the event had drawn a similar crowd to previous years.
The full day of activities included performances from La Fontanella and the Tweed Valley College Choir.
Dr Wright's lecture was in high demand with the Seventh Day Adventist Centre at capacity with patrons wanting to hear him speak.
The Tweed Shire Council's healthy aging officer, Kristen Forster, said it was difficult to say which workshops of the many at the expo were the most popular.
