CSGC seeks board members

A PROMINENT Southern Gold Coast organisation is looking for board members.

The Gold Coast City Council is advertising seats on the board of Connecting Southern Gold Coast.

The organisation supports the Bleach Surfing the Fringe Festival and Cooly Rocks On amongst others and works to promote the southern Gold Coast to tourists, investors and future residents.

Connecting Southern Gold Coast general manager Jim Wilson said the organisation was looking for board members but would not go into details as not to interfere with the selection process.

Mr Wilson said it was important in any organisation that board selection processes "are not seen as closed shops."

"Replacing some people in any organisation is a really healthy process," he said.

Expressions of interest to become a board member close on February 29.
