Cuffed for a cause makes columnist a cot case

DAILY News columnist Andrew McKinnon was cuffed by Tweed police on Friday and was a veritable cot case by 9am, having spent three hours chained to a hospital bed. But it was all for a good cause.

Gold FM's Give Me 5 for Kids' month-long fundraising campaign began yesterday, with celebrities being handcuffed to beds outside Tweed Hospital.

The deal was they could not be uncuffed until they raised $1000 for the kids charity.

"I managed to raise $1150," the grateful Mr McKinnon said.
