Currumbin named Queensland’s cleanest beach

PROVING once again that our region's beaches are some of the best in the country, Currumbin Beach has been named Queensland's Cleanest Beach by Keep Queensland Beautiful.
It also scooped up six of the other eight awards presented, including Environmental Innovation and Protection, Heritage and Culture and Resource Recovery and Waste Management.
Other regional award winners include Rainbow Bay, Kirra and Greenmount Beaches for categories such as Litter Prevention and Water Conservation.
Named as Overall Winner, Currumbin will now contest the National Keep Australia Beautiful beaches award.
