Man who nearly ran over police last seen in Kawana

POLICE were searching last night for a man who nearly ran over several police officers before fleeing a Frenchville address yesterday.

It is believed that when police attended a Hobler St address to execute a return-to-prison warrant about 11am, the man reversed through the closed roller door of a house at high speed and nearly struck four officers before driving away.

It is believed the vehicle used in the incident is a stolen white Suzuki hatchback with false plates, 596 KOB.

The man was last seen driving in the Kawana area of North Rockhampton.

Anyone with information relating to the incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or Rockhampton police.
