An Oscar-winning movie star in Grafton?

SIR Anthony Hopkins was spotted in Prince St, Grafton this afternoon, with one reader sharing this snap with The Daily Examiner.

Hopkins, who won a Best Actor Oscar for his portrayal of Hannibal Lecter in The Silence of the Lambs in 1991, is currently shooting Thor: Ragnarok on the Gold Coast with Chris Hemsworth. So it is likely he was out and about doing some sightseeing in between filming.

Why he was in the Jacaranda City is anyone's guess, but if you did spy him or were brazen enough to engage in conversation, please let us know. We don't often get to play paparazzi here at the DEX.

We think this photo could be captioned "Is that you, Clarice?" or, directly quoting the great movie, "I do wish we could chat longer, but I'm having an old friend for dinner".

He just blends into the crowd, doesn't he?
