
Disqualification leads to gold
JAPAN'S Kaori Matsumoto has taking the gold medal in the women's 57 kilogram judo final after Romanian Corina Caprioriu was disqualified.
Matsumoto and Caprioriu had just entered the golden score period when umpires penalised the Romanian for a leg hold.
It's the perfect end to a glittering career for Matsumoto, with the newly crowned Olympic champion expected to retire after the games.
United States' Marti Malloy took out the bronze medal.
