A MAN appeared in court on Saturday after charged with possession of the drug ice in Tweed Heads.
About 2.15 am Saturday, Tweed Heads police officers patrolling Kennedy Dr observed a red Toyota Corolla, which stopped in Gray St.
After speaking with the two male occupants, police discovered the driver was disqualified.

The driver, a 19-year-old man from Queensland, was arrested and taken to Tweed Heads Police Station, where he was drug tested.
Police are awaiting the analysis report of that test.
The man was charged with possessing a prohibited drug, supplying a prohibited drug, driving whilst disqualified, having custody of a knife and proceeds of crime.
He appeared at Tweed Heads Bail Court today and was refused bail.
He will reappear on Monday.
