DIY vegies save you money

IF you don’t have a vegetable garden but savour the flavour of home-grown produce and yearn to cultivate, the opportunity has arrived as environmental enthusiast Leon Twohill hosts a workshop.

Growing your own produce not only gives you a sense of satisfaction, it is also environmentally friendly, helps save you money and gives you the opportunity to tantalise your tastebuds with chemical free food.

Mr Twohill will reveal his secrets of success in a one-day course on June 20 at his Tumbulgum home and throughout the day he will discuss methods, essential tools and suggest the plants suitable to the area.

“If people have had trouble yielding crops in the past they get a bit disheartened but they needn’t be,” Mr Twohill said.

“I have learnt from my own experience of what works and I have been growing in the area for about 20 years.”

Space is limited to 10 people and the cost is $50 for the day. For inquiries contact Leon phone (02) 6679 5359 or 0428 248 386.
