Don't be late for very important date at Mad Hatter party

THE Makers & Finders Market at Murwillumbah is celebrating its first birthday this weekend by holding a fun Mad Hatters Tea Party.

On Saturday, Knox Park will be decked out to look like the Alice in Wonderland-themed Mad Hatter's Tea Party with carnival games, children's entertainment, fancy dress competition, jumping castle, flamingo croquet, live music, a photo booth plus the unpredictable antics of the eccentric Mad Hatter.

The Makers & Finders market, the concept of organiser Peita Gardiman, features local vendors who sell a range of recycled, vintage and upcycled products, handmade jewellery and crafts, plants and local produce.

"I feel incredibly lucky that I get to spend my time with an eclectic crowd of artists, vintage collectors, foodies and handmade aficionados each month and we are proud to have called Knox Park home for a year,” Ms Gardiman said.

"It's a spacious, vibrant community space that has something for everyone.”

- Bring your funkiest hat with great prizes up for grabs. The market runs from 9am to 2pm, August 18, Knox Park, Mur'bah.
