Drink driver six times over limit

POLICE have charged a woman with drink driving after she was caught over six times the legal limit at Kingscliff with two children in the car with her.
 
Police stopped a Lexus four wheel drive on Sutherland Street for a random breath test at about 11.10am on Sunday.
 
The 38-year-old Casuarina woman returned a positive reading and was arrested at the scene and then taken to Kingscliff Police station where she is alleged to have recorded a reading of 0.325.
 
At the time of her arrest two children aged eight and six were in the vehicle.
 
The woman has been charged and will appear at Tweed Heads Local Court on January 25.
 
The Department of Community Services have been notified of the incident.
