Man, 59, dies after car collides with roundabout railing

A 59-YEAR-old man has died after the car he was in collided with railing at the Bruce Hwy interchange at Forest Glen last night.

A Queensland Police Service spokesman said the car was travelling on Maroochydore Rd about 8.45pm when it crashed into the guardrail on the roundabout and rolled over.

The 59-year-old male passenger died at the scene.

The 48-year-old driver was taken to Nambour General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Investigations are continuing.
