Driver dies after car rolls on Bruce Hwy

A MAN has died after his ute rolled on its roof on the Bruce Hwy.

Police were called to the scene of the crash in the southbound lanes of the Bruce Highway about 6.50pm.

The driver, a 61-year-old Beerwah man, died at the scene and the passenger, a 51-year-old Ipswich woman, was taken to the Nambour Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
