Driver loses control and demolishes highway guardrail
A DRIVER who completely lost control of their car for no apartment reason has completely flattened a stretch of guardrail.
The Palm Beach woman, 55, was travelling south bound on the Pacific Hwy, near the Currumbin overpass, when she hit the guardrail causing significant damage.
A police spokesman said police were called to a job where a woman claimed she had been run off the road.
But investigation revealed for unknown reasons the woman crashed into the barrier.
"There were no injuries," the police spokesman said.
"She was issues with a traffic infringement notice for failing to have proper control of a vehicle."
Police classified the guardrail damaged as significant.
Emergency services were called to the crash just before 10am Friday.
