Driver rams car into home
POLICE are expected to charge a woman after a car rammed another car into a house on Flamingo Place in Tweed Heads yesterday afternoon.
The incident occurred about 2.30pm.
Tweed Heads Police Sergeant Rob Taylor said a woman was yesterday in police custody and assisting detectives with investigations.
Tweed Heads firefighter Brian Donachie said damage to the house was minimal.
“A car went up the driveway and knocked another car into the corner support pole of a carport. There was a bit of damage to both cars,” Mr Donachie said.
“There wasn’t much damage to the house.”
A neighbour, who did not want to be named, said the collision sounded like a gun shot. “It was just a loud bang, I didn’t know what to think when I heard it,” the neighbour said.
