Drug bust: Police target music festival catching 140 people

POLICE with an army of drug detection dogs descended on a popular dance festival in Sydney in search of party drugs and they did not leave empty handed.   Of the 19,864 revellers who attended Field Day, more than 140 were found to be carrying drugs.   Two men, aged 18 and 20, were charged with supply offences. Police kicked 22 people off festival grounds.   The operation was part of a state-wide taskforce targeting the drug culture at music festivals.   Police said some people still did not appear to be getting the message and warned that police would continue to ensure music lovers could attend festivals and enjoy themselves - drug-free.
