Drug raid at Merrimac

GOLD Coast police raided a property at Merrimac last night and found an illicit drug lab.

Police raided the Ghilgai Rd residence about 8pm (Qld) and seized equipment.

Police charged a 19-year-old Merrimac man with one count of possession of a dangerous drug, one count of possessing utensils and one count of possessing property suspected of having been used in connection with the commission of a drug offence.

The man will appear in Southport Magistrates Court on November 2.
