Early morning call after car crashed over bank

EMERGENCY services responded to a car crash in Carool early Sunday morning.

Tweed Heads Fire and Rescue station officer Chris Perrin said they were called to the scene, where a car had gone over an embankment on Carool Rd, about 1am.

Mr Perrin said because the car was not obstructing the road, the tow truck driver was awaiting details from the owner’s insurance company before moving it.
