Early voting begins for those who can't vote on September 7

VOTERS who can't get to a polling booth on September 7 can cast their ballot for the Federal Election from tomorrow.

The Australian Electoral Commission announced early voting would start today at numerous centres around the country.

Those who can cast an early vote include people who will be outside their electorate, more than 8km from a polling place, seriously ill or approaching childbirth on election day.

Postal vote applications will also be available for those who can't get to a polling place.

To find out how, go to the AEC website at: http://www.aec.gov.au or call 13 23 26.
