Eat and speak French

READY for some haute cuisine?

Kingscliff TAFE is launching a total French immersion course hosted by two French food lovers eager to share their passion for the language and culture.

The eight-week French Food Safari features all your favourites including duck a l'orange, profiteroles and creme brulee as well as the chance to learn about the different regions of France.

You'll also come away with the ability to order in the correct lingo at French restaurant and get the etiquette correct.

No prior knowledge of the French language is necessary.

Dominique Chaudet, qualified French chef and owner of Broadbeach restaurant Champagne-Brasserie will ease you through the hands-on lessons and share his top culinary knowledge.

Organiser Coco Voinot has been running the program for a few years and is excited to offer a new culture to Kingscliff after moving to the Tweed 13 years ago.

"I love Australia and I believe I can share my passion for food and French culture here on the other side of the world," Ms Voinot said.

"I like to grasp every opportunity to share my knowledge and love for my native tongue in the community."

The $450 all-inclusive course starts on Saturday April 28.

There are eight weekly sessions that run for three hours, either 9.30am to 12.30pm (NSW) or 2.30pm to 5.30pm (NSW).

Applications for the course must be in by Friday April 20.

Phone 02 6588 8000.

Bon appetit.
