Electoral Commission offers good wages for polling day jobs

THE NSW Government is calling for people to apply to work as election officials and office assistants at the March 28 state election.

Election officials can earn more than $300 a day working at one of the 2800 polling booths in NSW.

Office assistants earn a lower rate of pay, but have the advantage of being able to work before and after the election as well as on polling day. Their pay rates are calculated hourly - ranging between $28.61 per hour on weekdays and $42.53 per hour on weekends - with generous overtime provisions.

To find out more or to apply for a job at this election head to the Vote NSW website or phone 1300 135 736.
