Elliot shares Christmas message

POLITICS can bring out the worst in some people.

But one politician has taken time out of her busy schedule to relay a message of good will to the community and her opposition.

Spreading some Christmas cheer, local MP Justine Elliot, her family and staff are wishing everyone on the North Coast a safe and happy Christmas.

"Christmas is that special time of year when families, friends, neighbours, and communities come together to celebrate the festive season," Ms Elliot told My Daily News.

"I want to thank the police and the emergency services for their tireless work throughout the year and over the busy holiday season.

"For those of who are travelling to visit friends and relatives, please take care on the roads.

"I am honoured to serve the people of Richmond and I'm looking forward to continuing to work hard for our community in 2012.

"Over the past year we have shown yet again we can achieve great things when we work together.

"My husband Craig, our children Alex and Joe, my staff and I wish you and your family a wonderful Christmas and a happy and exciting New Year."
