UPDATE: A man who was trapped under a trailer at a Wilsonton home appeared to be "in good spirits" when emergency services freed him.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services Anzac Ave station officer Paula Douglas said crews had initially been called to reports of a traffic crash but arrived to find the man trapped under the box trailer.

"We utilised a number of rescue techniques using cribbing to keep the structure stable and jacking equipment that was in use at the time," she said.

"He was in good spirits (but) mind you it was quite a load that he had on top of him."

The cause of the incident is yet to be determined.

The man was taken to hospital in a stable condition.
