Crash after foot stuck between brake and accelerator

A CAR car driven by an elderly man crashed into a motorbike at the front of Centro Tweed this afternoon.

It is understood the 89-year-old driver's foot became stuck between the accelerator and the brake.

Witnesses told police the man appeared to be reversing into a car park before taking off at speed, crossing a garden bed and slamming into a parked motorbike.

There was no one on the motorbike at the time of the crash.

A NSW Ambulance spokeswoman said paramedics were called to the scene at 4.10pm.

"The man in the car is uninjured ," the spokeswoman said.

Firefighters were also quickly on the scene.
