Emerson won't say who'll go at QR
QUEENSLAND Rail workers have again been robbed of certainty after Transport Minister Scott Emerson refused to say who will go when the government cuts staff numbers.
Opposition transport spokeswoman Jackie Trad asked Mr Emerson, in Tuesday's sitting of Parliament, how the government would slash up to 2200 workers.
Mr Emerson has previously said the government would target QR's bulging management levels, rather than what he called "front line" staff.
"How many guards, drivers, ticket sellers and cleaners will be among the 2200 jobs he intends to axe across the rail network," Ms Palaszczuk asked.
In response, Mr Emerson attacked the opposition but would not answer the question directly.
The Queensland Rail Tram and Bus Union failed to respond before deadline.
