Experience the thrill of camping
CARING and camping may not seem to go hand-in-hand, but the two concepts will marry on the Tweed next month for the Camp and Care with BIG4 Night Under the Stars.
You can be part of the experience and help the Salvation Army to help those less fortunate.
BIG4 Tweed Billabong Holiday Park is encouraging locals to enjoy a night under the sky for a nominal $20 site fee to be donated by the Park to The Salvation Army.
The camping night of nights is on Friday, November 11.
Camp and Care with BIG4 encourages people to try camping for the first time and to explore a holiday destination close to home, while helping a worthy cause.
Guests staying at the park will be treated to a barbecue, will be able to enjoy the park's facilities and benefit from many of the great local attractions that Tweed Heads offers.
Park spokeswoman Rachael Griffin said the event was a great opportunity to grab the kids or a group of friends and experience the thrill of camping.
"You can go crazy on our adventure playground, make a splash in our pool and make new friends around our barbecues," she said.
"All you need is $20, your camping gear and a sense of adventure - we provide the rest."
Many Parks will be hosting additional activities over the weekend to celebrate the event, including pancake breakfasts and face painting, in-park concerts and barbecues.
