Waxing worse than footy field pain

GOLD Coast Titans player Anthony Laffranchi is no stranger to pain, but when it comes to eyebrow waxing, he is less than enthusiastic.

The State of Origin star hit the Recreate Yourself Hair and Beauty salon at Burleigh Heads yesterday to try out the new trend of man grooming ahead of the Titans' Charity Ball on Saturday.

Mr Laffranchi's wife Peita-Lee Laffranchi also visited the salon to trial her hair and make-up before she dons a glamorous Lisa Brown gown on the weekend.

The Titans player was treated to nail, eyebrow and hair care during his visit and said he did not mind indulging in a little relaxation.

“It's a bit of a freshen up for the ball, I don't mind treating myself and I think guys like to look after themselves as well,” Mr Laffranchi said.

“I'm used to taking hits on the field, but I think the eyebrow waxing is worse. Body waxing is the one thing I will never do. I would say no to a Brazilian.”
