Facebook, Instagram and Tinder recover from outage

UPDATE: OK everyone, stop panicking. Facebook, Instagram and Tinder are now back up and running.

After an hour offline, all three social media providers, which are owned by the same company, have come back to life on both web and mobile.

EARLIER:  IT might feel lonely to be without your hundreds of Facebook friends, but what we all share at the moment is frustration.

Yes, Facebook is down.

The social media provider has been out since 4:10pm AEST with no explanation from the company.

The Next Web is reporting that users worldwide are experiencing issues connecting not only to Facebook but also Instagram on the web and via mobile applications.

They also report that Facebook-owned mobile-messaging service WhatsApp is running as usual.

Still can't quite believe the world hasn't ended? You can check here.
