Failed robbers take to ATM with power tools, welding gear

POLICE are appealing for information to identify three males after an attempted robbery at a licensed premises north-east of Murwillumbah.

At 4.10am on Sunday police and the manager were called to a property in Condong after a security alarm was activated.

When the manager arrived he saw three males in dark clothes. They were last seen leaving the club empty-handed, travelling in a silver sedan towards Murwillumbah.

The club's Automatic Teller Machine had been damaged either by power tools or welding equipment, police said.
