Fame musical bursts into Tweed
A HOST of talented actors, singers and dancers will burst on to the stage for Fame: The Musical when the Tweed Theatre Company and director Annie Lotocki open the doors for the explosive first performance on June 29 at the Tweed Civic Centre.
A cast of 30 will be led by choreographer Clay English playing the role of Tyrone Jackson.
He is joined by some well-known local actors and singers including Rachel Love, Alison McKenzie, Jack Harbour, Rebecca Cristaldi, Hayden Bech, Deborah Leigh-Russell and Michelle Cook.
"This is the biggest singing/dancing show Tweed Theatre Company has produced over the past 13 years of its inception and we hope the local community will continue to support its very own local live theatre company," Mr English said.
Past shows include Jesus Christ Superstar, Fiddler on the Roof, Man of La Mancha, The King and I at the Tweed Heads Bowls Club Auditorium and The Sound of Music.
Hello Dolly, South Pacific and My Fair Lady were also performed at the Twin Towns Services Club.

The plot follows a group of students across the acting, dancing and music faculties from 1980-1984 as they learn to master their craft and grow up alongside each other, rising to the various challenges that face them.

There are seven performances over two weekends.
