Families flock to the Tweed for Easter camping experience

EASTER is here and  families are currently hitting the roads from afar to camping sites in the Tweed Shire for the long weekend.

The Big 4 North Star Holiday Park in Hastings Point will be packed full, as families flock for a weekend full of activities.

Marketing Coordinator at Big 4 Hastings Point, Andrew Bradley said the park is expecting around 1500 people on site this long weekend.

"The Easter long weekend gives people an extra couple of days to enjoy time with family and enjoy the great facilities like the kids club and water park"

"The kids club is fully supervised during the holidays"

"We have bingo and karaoke nights"

"We also have an Easter bonnet parade on the Sunday"

Michael Pimm, Toowoomba said his family have been having a wonderful time at the park since they arrived on Saturday.

"We like the freedom and openness and natural surroundings"

"We wanted to stay until Easter Sunday but it was fully booked out, we had to take what we could get"

"We will be celebrating Easter at home with an Easter bunny hunt"

The Pimm family along with their sons have been enjoying all the park has to offer.

"We've got friends coming on Thursday"

"We are loving it, the water park is out of control"

"The kids love the activities, riding their bikes and scooters and the kids club"
