Fans get first look at season six of Offspring

CHANNEL 10 has given fans their first glimpse at the new season of Offspring.

Gold Logie winner Asher Keddie returns as obstetrician and young mum Nina Proudman, who was last seen mourning her partner Patrick (Matt Le Nevez) as she raised their baby daughter with the help of her sister Billie (Kat Stewart).

Patrick Brammall appears to be back as Nina's love interest, with his character Leo Taylor seen posing for a Proudman family photo.

It is still unclear how new cast member TJ Power's character will fit into the mix of Nina's crazy life.

The future of the hit romantic drama/comedy had been uncertain after a definitive end to the series in season five two years ago.

Ten announced the show would return for a sixth season, although without creator Debra Oswald or writer Michael Lucas, in September last year, with production commencing in Melbourne last month.

According to Ten the sixth season of Offspring will premiere "soon".
