Fabulous fashion at the races

HORSES will take to the track this Friday, but many eyes will be on the fashions gracing the field.

The Daily News Race Meeting will be held at the Tweed River Jockey Club, featuring a great family atmosphere with trackside dining and picnic areas.

Race-goers are invited to don their most stylish racing attire and step out in this season's latest trends.

Muse Collections is one Murwillumbah boutique catering to the savviest of race day outfits.

Owner Robina Lathouras said Muse Collections is an eclectic fusion of fashion, shoes and accessories catering to fashion-forward women.

“I think we'll see a lot of dresses and outfits with sleeves at this race meeting,” Ms Lathouras said.

“My advice would be to wear a wedge shoe because they are much more suitable than a stiletto. Wedges are becoming a current shoe trend, along with a solid platform heel.

“We have been seeing a lot of rust and musk tones this season.”

Ms Lathouras said fashion is very much a part of Murwillumbah culture and all ladies like to put their best foot forward come race day.

“Fashion in Murwillumbah is evolving. We have had people start to buy things for the races already,” Ms Lathouras said.

“It's nice to see people enjoying fashion and taking a positive approach.”

Gates at the Daily News Race Meeting will open at 11.30am.
