Fashion that is to die for

GOLD Coast fashion designer Emma Milikins is killing the fashion scene with a range of unique style events on the horizon.

Ms Milikins Day of the Dead-styled models will make an appearance at the Kirra Kite Festival on Sunday with some special guests.

"We will be doing a camel fashion parade at the festival," said Ms Milikins.

"We have secured a relationship with Division Model Management through Miami Marketta and Rabbit and Cocoon. The models will ride the camels in the show."

The models will be dressed in the designer's new Autumn/Winter 2012 collection, which is set to be stocked in boutiques across the country.

The Day of the Dead models will make a secondary appearance at Robina Event Cinemas for the Chicks at the Flicks night on November 30.

"There will be roving vampires and static displays of models reading the Twilight series with full make-up on walking around the cinema," Miss Milikins said.

"The parade will also have a dance element."

Miss Milikins winter collection is bright and spontaneous featuring reds, purple and greens as base colours, capped off with fun accessories, a mish-mash of cultural influenced textiles.
