Feathers fly in sisters' feud over dead chook

WHAT do you do when you get into a fight with your sister after your dog kills one of her chickens?

If you were Brenda Vivian Margaret Honeysett you'd throw a brick through the windscreen of her car.

A court heard on the night on February 6, 19-year-old Honeysett and her 30-year-old sister got into a heated argument at a Bundamba house after Honeysett's dog killed one of her sister's chickens.

During the argument Honeysett's sister called the pound to tell them to collect the dog.

Honeysett eventually walked out of the house and into the front yard. There she picked up a brick and threw it through the windscreen of her sister's car.

When she was confronted by her sister, who the court heard watched the incident from a balcony; Honeysett denied doing anything to her car and said she just went outside to check the mail.

When police arrived Honeysett admitted to throwing the brick, telling them she was "very angry".

Honeysett pleaded guilty at the Ipswich Magistrates Court on Wednesday to wilfully damaging a motor vehicle.

Honeysett was ordered to pay $350 restitution for the damage to the windscreen and placed on a $300 good behaviour bond for the next 12 months.
