MEET the father son duo behind the family business at Ristorante Fellini.

The Fellini team are now seeing the fifth generation begin the journey within the Fellini kitchen.

Richard Burt has been the Italian restaurant’s executive chef for the past 14 years.

Under the guidance of his father, Jason is entering the industry to pursue his own career as a chef.

After completing his apprenticeship this 21-year-old knows the standard he has to keep up with.

“Dad is like any executive chef and pushes his employees to strive for their best,” Jason said.

“He expects nothing but perfection when it comes to what leaves the kitchen.

“I enjoy what I am doing right now.

“But my goal is to one day go overseas and possibly work in America.”

Like all fathers Richard wants nothing but the best for his son and is looking forward to working alongside him.

“I understand the work and the hours that go into becoming a chef,” Richard said.

“I have been in the industry for 30 years now. It is a tough industry but a rewarding one.”
