Wintersun kicks off

WINTERSUN got off to a rocking start in Tweed Heads and Coolangatta yesterday.

The band Dance On was the first to take the stage at the Tweed Heads Bowls Club last night and had everyone on the dance floor.

The Wintersun merchandise shop at Showcase on the Beach also opened its doors.

Dance On will be back at the Tweed Heads Bowls Club tonight, and Bobby Brooks Hamilton, Dean Z and guests will present a rock 'n' roll jamboree at Twin Towns Services Club.

Tomorrow, there will be a car poker run from Bay Street, Tweed Heads to the Tweed Valley from noon, and a Wintersun warm-up from 1pm to 5pm and 6pm to 10pm at the Tweed Heads Civic Centre.

Tweed Heads Bowls Club will also host the Breakaways at no cost.

This is the final Wintersun locally for the foreseeable future.
