Fire fighters control rubbish fire overnight

FIRE fighters were called to a rubbish fire overnight in the heart of Tweed's industrial area. 

A Fire and Rescue NSW spokeswoman said about 1.30am Thursday, they were alerted to a pile of rubbish alight in Enterprise Ave. 

The spokeswoman said the fire, which was originally reported as a "couch" alight, was contained within eight minutes. 

She said no properties were threatened.
