Firies battle kitchen blaze in Tweed Heads unit

FIRE fighters were attending a fire in a Tweed Heads unit as of 12.45pm Friday.

A Fire and Rescue NSW spokeswoman said the unit's kitchen was reported to be alight.

The spokeswoman said crew were on scene from 12.20pm, about five minutes after receiving the call.

She said all people in the Kennedy Dr unit were accounted for.

It's currently unknown if there have been any injuries, more details to come.
