Firies called to backyard rubbish blaze

FIREFIGHTERS attended a backyard rubbish fire at Chinderah on Tuesday afternoon.

A Fire and Rescue NSW spokeswoman said they were called to the blaze on Chinderah Bay Dr at 5pm.

She said on arrival, they found a small pile of rubbish alight.

"The occupants had the fire under control," the spokeswoman said.

It's understood police are not investigating the incident.
