BLEACH Festival is in its second week and will continue across the Gold Coast with a program for all to enjoy. Bleach is a lifestyle, producer, festival, travelling road show and canvas for Gold Coast culture. Bleach will keep you on your toes; take you by surprise and delight. THE Stokers Craft Market is held quarterly and features a great range of locally made art and craft for sale at the community hall in scenic Stokers Siding Village. Come along to the first Stokers Craft Market for 2014 on Saturday from 9am-2pm and find a wonderful piece you will treasure. Food and refreshments will be on hand. The market will be held in the Stokers Siding Community Hall.
THE Eco Challenge Gold Coast - wooden surfboard expression session will take place on Sunday 9am to 1pm at Tomewin St, Currumbin Beach as part of Bleach Boulevard. This event using alternative surf craft will fund-raise for Surf rider Foundation, Rise Above Plastics project while having maximum fun. There is a minimum gold coin entry fee with all monies going towards the Surf rider Foundation, Rise Above Plastics project. Each of the expressionisters will be awarded dunal plants as their prize. RELAY For Life is an overnight event, community event where teams participate in a relay style walk to raise funds for the Cancer Council. The event brings the whole community together for a night of fun, entertainment, celebration and remembrance. THE Queensland Junior Surf Life Saving Championships is the largest and most prestigious sporting event for young lifesavers, with more than 1500 competitors flocking to North Kirra on the Gold Coast across three days to compete. For all the action head along to North Kirra and afterwards pop into the North Kirra Surf Life Saving Club for a cold drink and some lunch or dinner. This great event is on Saturday and Sunday.
