More bikies charged after Cooly brawl
Updated, 12.04pm: ANOTHER bikie has been charged by Gold Coast detectives.
The Gold Coast man, 39, is the sixth man to be charged with affray following investigations into a street brawl at Cooly Rocks On.
He is due to appear at Southport Magistrates Court on July 2.
Investigations are continuing.
Initial report, 10.25am: Another five men have been charged with affray after a brawl at Cooly Rocks On earlier this month.
It is understood the men are members and associates of outlaw motorcycle clubs.
Police said Gold Coast detectives had charged a further five men with affray following the investigation.
A Coomera man, 28, Carrara man, 28, Nerang man, 42, Surfers Paradise man, 24, and a New South Wales man 35, are all expected to appear at the Southport Magistrates Court on July 2.
Last week a Murwillumbah man, 26, handed himself into Coolangatta police after the incident and was charged with affray.
Police then charged a Tugun man, 22, with serious assault after he allegedly punched a festival attendee in the head.
The brawl took place between members of the Finks and Nomad motorcycles club outside a Coolangatta cafe.
