Follow road rules for safety

NSW police’s ‘Operation Safe Arrival’ concluded last night, but motorists are being reminded to obey the road rules and drive to the conditions with increased traffic expected on major routes for the remainder of the school holidays.

At the time of going to press, the state’s holiday road toll was 22 and a further 877 people were injured in serious crashes.

Police have currently charged 1828 people with drink-driving offences, 14,301 speeding motorists and issued 20,172 infringements for other traffic offences.
