THE Hampton Food and Arts Festival has become one of South-East Queensland's signature autumn events, highlighting the produce, artistic talents and natural beauty of the high country north of Toowoomba.

The event will celebrate its 10th anniversary on May 20 under the gum trees in Chapman Park, Hampton. To coincide with the Year of the Farmer, the 2012 event will introduce an enhanced food-focused precinct called The Market Place, featuring market stalls and cooking demon- strations using the fresh and delicious local produce.

Bus Queensland Toowoomba and Range Charter Coaches will operate a free bus service connecting Toowoomba, Highfields and Crows Nest to the opening night party on Saturday, May 19, from 7pm and from Toowoomba and Highfields to the festival on the Sunday.
