VIDEO: Terror in view as civilians flee airport blasts

VIDEO  footage has emerged showing people running away from Brussels Airport after explosions were heard in the terminal building on Tuesday morning.

According to witnesses, two blasts took place in the departure hall of the Belgium airport, with one occurring near the American Airlines check-in area.

The cause of the explosions is not yet known. Belgium media is reporting that at least one person has died and several others have been injured.

People are being evacuated from the building.

In the video footage, people can be heard shouting as they flee the building and an alarm is going off in the background. Grey smoke is seen rising from the building.

The blasts come after Salah Abdeslam, a suspect in the Paris terror attacks, was arrested in Belgium on Friday. The coordinated attacks in November killed 130 people.

Abdeslam has a court hearing on Wednesday. France has requested his extradition but Abdeslam's lawyer says his client will fight the request.
