Footy greats for charity lunch
TWO Australian football greats will help raise much needed funds for the Salt Surf Life Saving Club on October 14.
Australian former rugby league test captain and coach of Queensland's State of Origin team Mal Meninga and former AFL legend, sports commentator and media personality Sam Kekovich will be the guest speakers at Salt's seventh Annual Sportsmans Lunch.
From noon (NSW) at the Salt Beachbar and Bistro silent auctions, live auctions and a hilarious show by the two footy stars will have guests in stitches as they dine in style.
"The boys will talk about their time in the football codes and share locker room gossip," Saltbar marketing manager Katrina Dudley said.
"The show is hilarious."
Ms Dudley said the Annual Sportsmans Lunch was the major fundraiser for the club each year.
"Last year the event raised $30,000.
"This year we want to raise more money than ever for the SLSC," she said.
Tickets bookings close next Friday.
