Force blown away by Hurricanes

THE Hurricanes ran in six tries as they smashed the Force 19-46 to earn a bonus point Super Rugby victory in Perth.

The match was meant to be a celebration for the Force as former Captain Nathan Sharpe was winning his record breaking 150th cap.

Instead of Sharpe celebrating it was Hurricanes halfback TJ Perenara who was making his starting debut and scored a hat trick of tries.

Andre Taylor, Jason Eaton and Charlie Ngatai also crossed for the Hurricanes, with flyhalf Beauden Barrett kicking nine points.

The 34-year-old Sharpe became the first player to reach the milestone in the southern hemisphere competition but the Australia lock couldn't celebrate with a win, despite the scores being locked at 10-10 approaching halftime after Matt Hodgson canceled out Perenara's fifth-minute try.
