Four hospitalised after crash

TWEED Valley Way was closed for more than three hours on Sunday afternoon after a serious two-car accident.

At 3.20pm a Commodore sedan and Ford Laser collided whilst travelling on the Tweed Valley Way at Condong.

The Commodore also hit trees on the opposite side of the road from its direction of travel.

A man and woman in their 30s sustained serious injuries and were trapped in the Commodore for up to an hour before being released.

A child in the back seat of the vehicle also sustained serious injuries and had to be rescued.

The driver of the Ford Laser, an elderly female, sustained minor injuries.
