Free art and cooking courses

SCHOOL holidays are in full swing at The Pines Shopping Centre at Elanora with kids activities planned for the next three weeks.

Janice Goodwin said her granddaughter Summer was showing a lot of creativity with a sand art masterpiece.

The art is made using drawings constructed with stickers, which when peeled, create a sticky surface that is coated with coloured sand.

The workshops will run from 10am to 2pm (Qld) each day until Saturday.

From Monday, January 9, until Saturday, January 14, daily sessions at 10am, 11am, noon and 1pm will feature back-to-school pencil case decorating workshops.

Starting on Monday, January 16, until Saturday, January 21, cooking workshops will be held at 10am, 11am, noon and 1pm with quiche and mini apple pies filling the menu.

All sessions are free and will be held outside Woolworths.

Book your place at centre management on 07 5534 6722.

Sand art classes don't require bookings.
