Phil happy to play and work hard

THE Gold Coast Mail wanted to get a different perspective on our butcher, Phillip, so we found a couple of old friends to get the goss.

Brian Spencer has been a friend of Phillip’s for 10 years and said he was the easiest person in the world to get along with.

“Phil and I immediatly hit it off with us both being Kiwis and sharing similar interests such as rugby and fishing,” Mr Spencer said.

“It is safe to say that Phil is the life of any party and is always first on a dance floor with his crazy breakdancing, which he is pretty good at.

“I wouldn’t say he is a ladies’ man, but he can talk to anyone.

“He’s a lot of fun and he’s just a really friendly guy and a good Kiwi.”

The long-time friend said Phillip needed a girl who had a lot of patience.

“He works so hard and long hours, so it’s hard to find the time to meet girls,” he said.

“He is able to strike up a conversation with anyone and he’s a laugh a minute.

“I would love to see Phil with a woman who is as goal-driven as him and somebody who shares his wicked sense of humour.”

Nicole Anderson has been a family friend for almost 12 years and said she usually went out partying with Phillip.

That gives her a pretty good idea of what a lady can expect from our love-seeking butcher.

“He’s cheeky, loves to have fun and he is very family-oriented,” Ms Anderson said.

“He plays as hard as he works.”

She said he needed to change his outlook on girls.

“His previous girlfriends have been needy and self-centred, so he needs to go for other girls who are down to earth and independent.

“A girl with Phillip needs to be able to laugh, and he is a very outgoing person.”
